Franklin Stainless was incorporated in 1955, specializing in the processing and distribution of stainless steel flat rolled products. The founders of Franklin, Mark and Jack Talve, envisioned the future potential of stainless steel in numerous and diverse industries.

For over more than 50 years, Franklin Stainless has earned a reputation as a multi-faceted, agile, and profitable metals service center with exceptionally high quality products and services. Today, Franklin's customers are involved in a wide range of applications, including the chemical processing, pharmaceutical, automotive, food processing, construction, and high technology industries. The Franklin staff strives, on a daily basis, to achieve the highest in quality control, utilizing its slitting, cut-to-length, and polishing equipment.

In 2008, Franklin joined the Irestal Group, a stainless specialist with more than 60 years experience, whose headquarters is located in Barcelona, Catalonia (Spain). Irestal, with 33 processing and distribution locations across Europe, from Lisbon to Moscow, has added a new and wider dimension to Franklin's worldwide stainless steel presence. The synergies of this relationship will continue to benefit Franklin's customers.
